While new service truck orders are down for Idaho custom service truck manufacturers, it is also true that parts and service orders for custom service trucks is growing. As should be expected in an economy like this, contractors and government agencies that use custom service trucks in Idaho are facing budget cuts, sometimes severe ones. Those cutbacks, of course, have a trickle down effect on local businesses.

One major role of service trucks in Idaho is the servicing of heavy equipment such as road construction equipment and agricultural equipment. Road construction has been a big issue politically, as Idaho’s road infrastructure is lagging behind the fast growth it experienced up until 2006.
